Michelle has been a member of United enterprise Credit Union Limited (UECUL) for more than 15 years, and an active member for the past 3 years as Treasurer and now Vice-President. Michelle is currently employed as an Accountant with McBride Caribbean Limited (another subsidiary of Goddard Enterprises Ltd), and has 25 years in the accounting field. Michelle has developed a love for the Credit Union movement and firmly believes that at the heart of any Credit Union is its members and holds true to the Credit Union philosophy of “people helping people”.
Michelle has a BSc in Economics and Accounting from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus and is expected to restart her Certified Public Accountants Courses (CPA) in January, 2019. She is also a CARIB DE graduate and looking forward to completing her project, becoming a mentor and Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE). She has completed development courses offered by the Barbados Co-operative & Credit Union League Limited (BCCULL) and is presently pursuing a Canadian Directors’ Education and Accreditation Program where she will gain knowledge in Governance, Risk Management, Finance, and Strategic Planning.
