Membership is open to:

Relatives of existing members (including spouses, children, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and grandchildren);
Individuals recommended by any two UECUL members who are in good financial standing;
Current and former employees of the Goddard Enterprises Ltd group and Sagicor.

Become a Member

You can start the application process by completing the membership form here . You will need to provide the following with your completed application:

Two (2) forms of valid identification (accepted types: Barbados ID card, valid passport, valid driver’s licence, or birth certificate);
A recent proof of address (e.g., utility bill or statement from another financial institution);
A non-refundable application fee of BBD $10.00 and BBD $50.00 Qualifying Shares.

Business hours:

Monday–Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We offer regular share (savings) accounts, fixed-term deposits, and special savings plans for goals like education or holidays.

UECUL is currently exploring options to provide online account access. Stay tuned for updates!

UECUL offers personal loans, auto loans, home improvement loans, mortgages, green loans, and more—all at competitive rates for members.

For a loan fully secured by your savings: call us at 426-4267 / 248-0499 to apply.
For loans greater than your savings balance: apply online or visit our office to complete a loan application form.

A letter or invoice confirming the items to be purchased.

A letter or quotation from your doctor outlining the medical procedure and associated costs.

A quote or itinerary from an airline, travel agency, or hotel confirming your travel plans and expenses.

An official acceptance letter from the college, university, or educational institution;
An invoice or fee statement from the institution detailing tuition and other costs.

A detailed quotation outlining the wedding-related expenses you plan to cover (e.g., venue, catering, attire).

A letter from the vendor stating the sale price and the name/address of the vendor’s attorney;
A copy of the Certified Surveyor’s Plot plan;
A professional valuation report of the land or property being purchased.

A quotation from the garage confirming the purchase price and vehicle specifications;
A quotation or confirmation of comprehensive insurance coverage for the vehicle.

A letter of certification of ownership from the seller (vendor);
Written confirmation of the agreed sale price;
A valid Roadworthy Certificate and a Valuation Report for the vehicle;
A quotation or confirmation of comprehensive insurance coverage.

A detailed quotation listing all repair or maintenance expenses to be incurred;
If for insurance: a renewal notice from your insurer showing the premium due.

Three (3) months of recent business bank statements;
A written reference (e.g., from an accountant, attorney, or established business associate).

You can apply immediately for any loan fully secured by your savings.
For unsecured loans, new members may apply as soon as their account is open, though we encourage building a savings history first.

You can deposit funds in the following ways:

In person at our office;
Via Direct Bank Deposit—transfer funds from your bank account to your UECUL account. For transfer details, please email info@uecul.org .
