In accordance with section 21(1)–(3) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 2021-31, United Enterprise Credit Union Ltd. (UECUL) notifies its members that, in the ordinary course of business, the Credit Union may verify, obtain, or disclose certain information relating to members’ credit or financial relationships.
- Verification and Collection
UECU Ltd. may verify any information provided to it by members from lawful and reliable sources as deemed necessary to:

assess creditworthiness;

maintain the integrity of its records; and

comply with regulatory and statutory obligations.

- Disclosure to Credit Bureaus and Other Parties
UECUL is authorized to disclose members’ credit and personal information to a licensed credit bureau, reporting agency, financial institution, or other lawful recipient for permissible purposes under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 2021-31, including credit assessment, debt collection, portfolio monitoring, and regulatory reporting.
- Lawful Basis and Member Protection
Such disclosure is made either with the member’s consent or pursuant to this public notice, as provided for under section 21(1)(b)–(3) of the Act.
UECU Ltd. ensures that all information shared is accurate, up to date, and handled securely in accordance with the Act and the Data Protection Act, 2019-29. - Member Rights
Members have the right to access or correct their credit information held by any licensed credit bureau and may contact UECUL for assistance in doing so.
